A Case for the Examined Life: Exploring the Open Spaces of Self

In our multi-tasking modern way of life, it is easy to lose touch with our own unique gifts, talents and passions. This workshop explores ways to re-ignite and strengthen your relationship with yourself. We will examine the many faces of fear and its way of obstructing our self-exploration and expansion. Turning fear into a signal, we will ask questions that open the core channel of inner communication, thereby bringing certain unconscious spaces into the light.

A Gap Year for Grown-ups

Mid-life, loosely defined, describes a time when we are both old enough and young enough to appreciate life in new ways. It is a time that naturally arouses big questions. What is my true work? Am I contributing my unique gifts to the world? How can I be useful?

These are only some of the questions that deserve exploration. We will discuss the nuts and bolts of creating a "gap" for yourself, allowing yourself the space and experience to recalibrate your inner compass so that you live this life to your full potential.

The Prison of Perfection: How to Ease Up and Get Out of Your Own Way

Most of us have been deeply immersed in out evaluation-focused culture for so long that we don't recognize its impact upon us, both internally and externally. Through the pursuit of perfection-with its tendency to find fault and its withholding of affirmation-we inadvertently block ourselves from achieving the very things we are seeking. We will explore these obstacles and break them down, thereby freeing ourselves to experience positive change rather than repeating disappointment.

Finding Your Voice: Exploring Your Creative Self

Within each of us lives an artist, whether we know her or not. It is impossible to be a human being and not be a creative being, although many people dismiss or mute their creative capacities. One way to wake up to this inborn ability of creating is to find your voice, which is as unique as your fingerprint.

Depression: a Fresh Approach for the 21st Century

According to the World Health Organization, depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. Why? What is it about our modern way of life that contributes to depression? More importantly, how can you buffer yourself from falling into the depression pit-and how can you climb out if you find yourself there?
